Arctis is run by students and funded by donations. The amounts involved are small — a hundred dollars covers a semester of competition fees for one student.

Where it goes

competitions: Entry fees, CTF infrastructure, and travel to events.
equipment: Lab hardware students cannot buy for themselves.
tickets: Conference seats for students who could not otherwise go.

The twelve BSidesSF 2026 tickets are an example: sponsors covered them, and no student paid anything.

Accounting
